Home Based Care Group
Overview of this group activities
They are part of our growing community
Activities
- The members have a meeting every week to support each other physically, psychologically, spiritually and emotionally due to their condition.
- Members are issued ARVs and other medications every month in the facility and the district hospital
- Member received each a goat and now they have domestic animals
- Home based care group are support in building of houses when they have land of their own
- Some children and youths of the home based care group are supported with paying for their education
- The home based members do casual work when they can to raise some funds in the facility
- There is hire of chairs and tents brings income which supports the home based care group when they have needs
- The members received food donations during the year- maize, beans, and some money
Diabetic/ Non Communicable Diseases Club

Activities
- They have supportive meetings every month
- They receive health education on how to care for themselves
- They receive their prescribed type of food now and again
- They are reviewed the health worker every month and screened incase of health deterioration
- Some children and youths of the home based care group are supported with paying for their education
- Drugs like insulin is issued to the children under 18 years and some adults
- They are a registered entity to try and source funds for their drugs and family care

- Sweeping/clearing the compound and the rooms in the facility
- Collection of litter in the facility
- Watering flowers and trees
- Washing utensils
- Celebration for back to school.
- Packing of drugs
Antenatal Care(ANC) Group

Activities
- Measuring of weight, height, blood pressure screening, and MUAC for the mothers
- Taking history of the mothers- medical, obstetrical, surgical, gynecological
- Health education on danger signs in pregnancy, minor ailments, major illnesses
- Immunization of the mothers- tetanus toxoid vaccine
- Nutrition supplements folic acid, ferrous sulphate, unimix for underweight mothers Antenatal care profile
Community and Schools

They are part of our growing community
Activities
- Health education to the youths in the community every school holidays and in schools every week on sensitive health issues like sexually transmitted diseases HIV, early pregnancies, FGM etc
- Celebration of worldwide recognized days like International Women’s day, mother’s day, World AIDS Day with objectives of teaching on gender issues and other topics.
- Community mobilization- where teaching, counseling and testing in groups , Barazas ,funerals , fundraising gathering
- School health program- the children are educate on health matter, examined head to toe for any abnormalities ,treated any minor ailments like ring worms, conjunctivitis . Referred major conditions like tumor. This is done in 9 primary schools every three months.
Community Health Workers

Activities
- Educate people about the services offered in the facility and encourage them to go to hospital when in need.
- Take part in mobile clinic services/ activities and static clinic
- They refer patients/ clients from the community to the hospital/ health facility
- Education in the community – on environmental care, health care, minor ailments, immunization and matters concerning health.
- Registration of the community health workers as a recognized organization ( social services) to try and source funds or run projects to support their families economically
- They have successful meetings every month to plan their work
